Wooo. I finally got this done. I dragged my ass on it a bit cause I have a new tablet. A shiny shiny intuos 4. I decided it was time for more power and actually something smaller, my intuos 2 was massive.

No timelapse video for the color on this one, but I did have a timelapse of the inks, and now I've changed the inks a little.

Anyway, I did alot of things different from the last two elf drawings. I ended up going with alot of textures and a more abstract background.

This is Kittika, she's pretty typical in looks to my average Desert Elf, and atypical in most other ways. I'll just say she's an exile. Almost all Desert Elves have blonde hair, some are born with black hair but it's rare and they're usually abandoned or banished, better known as Dark Elves, which have also evolved into a tribe/race of their own.

I've really changed her outfit over the years, but the two constants are her dress has always been off-the-shoulder and with fringe on it. I've finally settled on a color scheme, her eyes are green again, and they're staying that way this time.

I've also decided to try just having a sig and a smaller copyright dealie. Haha sensitive tablet, I can actually write with it. Too bad my handwriting is terrible.

Man...put her on the future arcs of Abode...or a fan-based spinoff...and have her run into Starfrost. Bet she'd love a compound bow.

Lovely piece. Liking her pose and the textures, and the overall colour scheme.

Her face seems a bit flat though. Feels like there should be a bit more shading around the eyes at least. They're kind of floating there.

Nice job on the sky too. Lends a bit more drama to the image :)

This is really beautiful. I really love the background, it's very pretty. I also love your elf. I think you did a nice job on the pose and love her clothing. I also love her hair.

The textures were put in in photoshop but not generated by it. You can do alot with just scanned scrapbooking paper :lol:
